CALDECOTT HILL OPENS TO THE PUBLIC AT SINGAPORE HERITAGE FESTIVAL 2017

by - Friday, May 05, 2017

Hello Caldecott.

The Singapore Heritage Festival 2017 brings us back to the roots in exploring different hidden gems of Singapore. In particular, "Hello Caldecott" caught our eyes from the list of programs. Well, Caldecott Hill was the former premises of Mediacorp — Singapore's television (TV) and radio broadcast station — which has shifted to Mediapolis @one-north. And to celebrate 50 years of TV production, visitors at the festival will get to experience TV production, free guided tours ( which we missed, unfortunately. Suggest you head for it. 630pm on Friday and Saturday and 1030am on Sunday), exhibitions, performances, live bands, screenings and so much more. There are also many acting many acting props that you can play along with too.

Theatre Performance

We caught Studio 6, the song and dance performance by theatre company Sweet Tooth by Cake and it was awesome! It lasted for 30-45 mins. Reenacting scenes from classic television productions from the TV productions over the years and spanning programs from different languages catering to our four diverse races, it was a joyous sing-a-long session.
If you love to catch up on the good old days, this is the performance to catch.
Highly recommended. You can still catch them this weekend.

Photo Opportunities

Here are some photo-pitstop at the open-house.

My ger and I had fun posing with the props!

Community Wall

More photo opportunities with the familiar sitcoms and variety shows which have accompanied us through our Growing Up years.

Old Mediacorp Reception

That's all I have for a quick post update. Head down to the festival this weekend for its final open house. Learn new facts about Singapore and have fun with your family and friends!
